Classic Granola Recipe.

Now, I talk a lot about making Granola and how amazing it is, so I’ve decided to post the recipe I use on here so all of you can enjoy it too if you choose 🙂

Dry Ingredients:

2 cups oats
1/2 cup Wheat Germ
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/3 cup Coconut
However many mixed nuts you want
1/3 cup sultanas
1/2 tsp. ground Cinnamon

Wet Ingredients:

3 Tbs. Canola oil
1 Tbs. Water
2 Tbs. Honey
2 Tbs. Molasses.

Pre-heat oven to 130 degrees Celsius on Bake.  Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl, except for dried fruit. Bring wet ingredients to a simmer in a small pot on a low heat. Drizzle over dry ingredients and stir to combine. Using an oven pan, line it with baking paper and pour mixture into pan. Put in oven and bake for 5 minutes, then stir, then another 5, stir, then another 5, stir, then one final 5 and remove from oven. Stir in dried fruit. Leave to cool. It will go hard and crispy when it’s out of the oven.

Any extra questions? Please don’t hesitate to ask 🙂

Hey there, my name's Jenny. I have a huge passion for cooking/baking, writing, yoga and photography. I love nature and my favourite thing to do is spend an entire day outside, breathing in crisp, fresh air. Even better if I have a pen and paper with me. I started out running in March 2009 but sustained an injury in October 2009 which has unfortunately prevented me from running. I've been experimenting with other kinds of exercise to find another one that clicks. Follow me on my journey to maintaining good health + surviving high school and pursuing a career in Journalism. I Hope you enjoy reading my blog!
